Kolkata and Mumbai both were in the top spot for the playoffs race. Today at Wankhede Stadium it was the important match for the both sides who seeks 2 points to reach further. Kolkata Knight Riders were all over the Mumbai Indians. It was the bowling which gave Kolkata a chance to win a good match.

Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to bowl first and it was great decision. Kolkata was not able to get away easily. They were 2 down for just 6 runs on the board. Gambhir played nicely for his 27 Runs. But after that it was Manoj Tiwari who played superb cricket. He scored 41 Runs of 43 Balls and Yusuf Pathan played an inning of 21 Runs. They help their team to reach a respective total of 140 Runs in 20 Overs with a loss of 7 Wickets.

Same as Kolkata Mumbai was unable to get a good start and they were loosing wickets one by one. Gibbs scored 23 Runs and Tendulkar 27 Runs. Then after no one can even able to stay on the pitch. They were all out on 108 Runs. Sunil Narine was pick of the bowler who took 4 wickets. Other End Balaji gave a good spell of bowling which turn the match to Kolkata Side. He gave 11 Runs in 4 Overs with 2 Wickets as well. Another good economical performance by Kolkata.
