On 10th April , 2012 the tenth Game of Indian Premier League (IPL Season 5) 2012, Home team Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB) played at own Ground with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. Home Team Royal Challengers won the Toss and elected to bat first.
High quality Opening appreance shown by Captain Gautam Ganbhir and JH Kalis in the First Six Overs for Kolkata Knight Riders. They added 60 Runs in first six overs. It seemed to made very big Total by KKR. After departured of Kallis ( 22 of 23 Balls), KKR wicketkeeper Bisla joined in party with Skipper and played brave inning of 46 Runs of just 29 Balls. He hits 3 massive sixes and 2 classic fours in his inning. On other hand KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir continued to play some owsome strokes and carry on the momentum of rotating high strike rates for his team. He contributed 64 Runs in just 29 Balls and played excellent Captain inning for KKR. But except Top three batsmans of KKR no other middle order batsmans stood against RCB Bowlers. At one stage KKR lost 5 wickets in 24 balls adding just 19 Runs. Vinay Kumar (2 of 18 runs), Zaheer Khan (2 of 31 Runs) and Murlalidharan (2 of 31 Runs) bowled well from RCB. At the end of 20 overs Kolkata Riders managed to Score 165 Runs to chased for Royal Challengers.
Following a competative total of 165, Royal Challengers Opening Batsmans CA Pujara and CH Gayle started very Slowly. But both openers of RCB failed to go on for long, and gave their wickets to striking Bowler of Kolkata Knight Riders JH Kallis in his 1st and 2nd over. First Bowling change also worked for KKR and Laxmipati Balaji sent Stylist Batsman Virat Kohli (6 of 14 balls) in to pavellion. AB de Villiers (10 of 10 balls) also baceme victom of Balaji lost his wicket in second over of L Balaji. Balaji continued to damage RCB inning and took another 2 wickets in remaining overs. He sent 4 RCB Batsmans in pavellion. RCB Captain tried to save game but he also bold out by L Balaji. At the end Royal Challengers managed to score 123 Runs in 20 overs and defeted by Kolkata Knight Riders. Laxmipati Balaji declared Man of the Match award for his 4 wickets in his 4 overs spending 18 Runs. Finally, Kolkata Knight Riders succeed to open an account in Points tally in IPL 5 Points Table Tally. Both Played Head to Head 8 Matches in IPL. RCB Won 5 and KKR Won 3. Today Kolkata Knight Riders Registered 4th win against Royal Challengers in IPL.
